Privacy Policy

Effective: October 14, 2026

This page explains what information the Industrial Concussion Institute LLC (“ICI,” “we,” “us”) collects through industrialconcussion.org and ICAT, the Industrial Concussion Assessment Tool, and what we do with it. We’ve kept it short and in plain language.

The short version

  • We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run our site and tools (Framer, GitHub, FormSubmit, MailerLite and our email provider), and only to provide those services, or when the law requires it.

What we collect and why

When you browse industrialconcussion.org

Our website is built and hosted on Framer. Like any web host, Framer’s servers process standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages to you.

We use Framer Analytics, Framer’s built-in analytics. It gives us aggregate statistics such as page views, visitor counts and the sites that referred visitors to us. Framer says its analytics do not use cookies and do not create persistent identifiers. We use these numbers only to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site.

Our site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers to download them. Google’s privacy policy applies to that request.

When you contact us

Our contact form asks for your name, your email, your organization (optional), your reason for getting in touch, and your message. The form is processed by Framer and delivered to our inbox at info@industrialconcussion.org. We use it only to reply to you and follow up on your request, such as scheduling a presentation or training.

Please don’t include personal medical details in the form or in emails to us. For emergencies, call 911.

When you use ICAT

ICAT runs entirely in your web browser. Nothing you enter in an assessment, including worker details, is stored by ICAT or sent to us or anyone else. There are no accounts. The report is created on your device, and if you save it as a PDF, that file stays with you. Your organization is responsible for handling any saved report under its own medical-privacy requirements.

ICAT is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub says it logs the IP addresses of visitors to GitHub Pages sites for security purposes, whether or not they have a GitHub account. GitHub’s Privacy Statement applies to that logging. ICAT also loads fonts from Google Fonts.

When you use the optional ICAT sign-up

At the end of an assessment, ICAT offers an optional “Stay connected with ICI” form. If you choose to submit it, we receive your name, your email, your organization and role (both optional), the time you submitted, and the ICAT version. It’s sent to info@industrialconcussion.org through FormSubmit, a form-to-email service, and FormSubmit’s privacy terms apply to its handling. No assessment data is ever included. We use these details only to stay in touch with you about ICAT, training and our work.

When you subscribe to our newsletter

Our newsletter is sent through MailerLite. When you subscribe through a sign-up form on our site, MailerLite collects your email address and manages your subscription under its own privacy policy. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.

Links and embedded content

Our site links to, and may embed, content from other services, including MailerLite, GitHub and LinkedIn. Those services have their own privacy policies, and embedded content may set its own cookies. This policy doesn’t cover sites we link to.

Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console, a tool for site owners, to see how our site appears in Google Search. It gives us aggregate search data, such as search terms and clicks. It doesn’t add any code or cookies to our site.

Cookies

We don’t set cookies for analytics or advertising. Framer Analytics works without cookies. Third-party content, such as an embedded MailerLite sign-up form, may set its own cookies under that provider’s policy.

If you close our newsletter pop-up, your browser saves a small note on your device so we don’t show it again for a while. It contains no personal information.

How we share information

We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run our site and tools (Framer, GitHub, FormSubmit, MailerLite and our email provider), and only to provide those services, or when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form messages and ICAT sign-ups only as long as we need them to respond to you and stay in touch, and we delete them on request. We delete inquiries and sign-ups with no activity after 24 months. Analytics data is aggregate and kept by Framer under its own policies. ICAT assessment data is never collected, so there’s nothing for us to keep.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email info@industrialconcussion.org. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with the link in any issue. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s or country’s privacy laws. Tell us, and we’ll honor the rights that apply to you.

Security

Our site and ICAT are served over HTTPS, and we rely on our providers’ safeguards. No website or online transmission is completely secure, so please don’t send sensitive information, like medical details, through our forms or by email.

Children

Our site and ICAT are for working adults and professionals. They aren’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Blog comments

If you comment on an article, we collect the name and comment text you enter, plus the article you commented on and the time you posted. We don't ask for your email address.

Comments are reviewed before they appear on the site.

Comments are stored with our database provider, Supabase. To limit spam, we also keep a short-lived, one-way hashed technical identifier (not your IP address itself), which is cleared out after about a day.

To have a comment removed, email info@industrialconcussion.org with the article title, the name you used, and the approximate date.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the effective date at the top.
